French Black Lentil Soup Mix
French lentils or lentilles du Puy, retain their shape when cooked and have a pleasant, poppy texture. We have combined them with our THH Herbs de Provence. If you use less of the broth they make a perfect side dish!
Preparation
1 jar Soup Mix
6 cups Soup stock of your choice
or
6 cubes bouillon with
6 cups water
DirectionsIn a large pot combine the soup mix and stock of your choice. Add salt to taste and let simmer for 30 to 40 min or until lentils are fully cooked adding water if necessary.
Lentils will keep their shape and only fall apart when overcooked!Enjoy! Freezes well!
