Plantain Salve
Plantain has long been considered by herbalists to be a useful remedy for different kinds of ailments. Plantain contains a substance called allantoin that is highly beneficial for soothing skin and promoting new cell growth. This, along with its anti-inflammatory properties, makes it good for calming sunburn, acne, bug bites, stings, scratches, minor wounds, rashes and dry, irritated skin and other types of skin inflammation.
But did you know it is also good for drawing out slivers? Simply place some plantain salve on the sliver spot, cover it with a bandage, and leave overnight. The next morning you should be able to gently squeeze out the sliver or pluck it from the wound.
