What does organic mean? In a nutshell, organic farming means it’s food as it should be, the food you can trust, food that doesn’t cost the earth, and food where the animals come first. It’s a conscientious way of tending to the land, which works with nature and not against it. Organic farming will always mean: Fewer pesticides No artificial colors or preservatives Always free range No routine use of antibiotics No GM ingredients What is the shelf life of bulk herbs? What is the best way to store them? Shelf life varies from one herb to another. A powdered herb will lose its properties much faster than a whole or cut herb. Those with volatile oils like peppermint will lose their freshness much sooner than those without the oils. Roots have the longest shelf life as they are much denser than flowers and leaves. So, it's kind of difficult to give you a quick and simple answer. Most herb books have something to say on the subject, but they are not very specific. Just as we did, you will gain insight in this area as you get more familiar with each herb. In general, keep the herbs in air-tight containers, as cool as possible, and don't expose them to light unless in use. Which is more effective - Tea or Tincture? Teas and tinctures both have their individual advantages. The potency of most herbs is much greater in a tincture. However, a tea can be immediately prepared and taken. Also, tea often has an immediate soothing or invigorating aspect to it (depending on the herbs used). What payment methods do you accept? THE STORY OF TRIPLE H HOMESTEAD & THH COUNTRY STORE We, Marlon Jugl and Sabine Weibrich came to Canada in May 2009 with the dream of having our own little heaven of land to grow and raise our food. Our compassion for nature led us to live on a tiny piece of land without power and running water. That changed our lifestyle completely! We launched 'Sabine's Country Store' and started selling our homemade goods at a variety of Farmers' Markets across Saskatchewan: Hudson Bay, Porcupine Plain, Nipawin, Regina, and Saskatoon....just to mention a few. In 2011 we were joined by Sabine's son Sebastian, who only wanted to stay for a couple of years (He is still here and working now with us!). With his help and that of a lot of people and friends, we were blessed to build a home on a 160 acres piece of land, which never had seen fertilizer. Here we grow herbs, flowers and vegetables, pasture our animals, and wildcraft the bush around us. After a while the name 'Sabine's Country Store" didn't reflect what we were really doing and trying to achieve the way we wanted, so the brand 'Triple H Homestead' was born and is located south of Hudson Bay, Saskatchewan - Canada, The 3 'h' stand for: home grown home made home raised Now Triple H Home stead is not 'only' a homestead but a brand with all-natural herbal and foo d products like Herbal Teas Salt-free Spice Blends Herbal Salves Herbal Vinegar and Oil Blends Homemade Granola and lots more From selling at Farmers' Markets we extended to trade shows and stores all over Saskatchewan (we are still looking for more...hint...hint ;-) In 2019 we opened THH Country Store , our outlet location in Zenon Park, SK where you can explore, sample, and purchase our artisan products.

Triple H Homestead is seeking a dedicated individual who is passionate about self-sufficiency, eco-friendly practices, and communal living to assist us in various tasks around the homestead. Responsibilities: Assist with Sustainable Agriculture: Help cultivate our organic garden, including planting, weeding, watering, and harvesting seasonal produce. Learn and contribute to our permaculture practices. Animal Care: Support in the care of our livestock, including feeding, watering, and ensuring their well-being. This may include chickens, pigs, rabbits, sheep, dogs, or other animals depending on the season. Off-Grid Living Tasks: Participate in off-grid living activities such as collecting rainwater, managing compost, maintaining solar panels, and assisting with alternative energy systems. Maintenance: Help with general maintenance tasks around the homestead, including repairing fences, maintaining buildings, and other infrastructure upkeep. Community Engagement: Contribute to the communal atmosphere by participating in group activities, sharing knowledge, and collaborating with fellow residents. Benefits: Work for Stay: Accommodation (land) and food provided in exchange for part-time work on the homestead. Please be advised, it will be your responsibility to bring a tent/camper/tiny home, etc. Learning Opportunities: Gain valuable experience in sustainable living, permaculture, and off-grid practices. Peaceful Environment: Enjoy the tranquility of rural Saskatchewan while contributing to a meaningful lifestyle. Live-Work Exchange: You are required to work 4 hours a day (Tuesday – Saturday), and extra hours will be compensated for.
