We came to Canada in 2009 with a clear purpose: to build an honest, traditional life close to the land. Our journey began in Hudson Bay, Saskatchewan, where Marlon Jugl and Sabine Weibrich chose a life without power or running water. Just hard work, strong values, and the determination that continues to guide our business today.
We started by growing and raising our own food the old-fashioned way — and shared what we made. Homemade pasta, jams, jellies, and preserves were the first products sold under the name Sabine’s Country Store at farmers markets across Saskatchewan: Hudson Bay, Porcupine Plain, Nipawin, Regina, and Saskatoon.
